Welcome to "La Casa de Don Gabriel", a 17th century property located in the Historic Artistic Center of Santa Cruz de La Palma. The house is being carefully restored from 2017 to the present. Going from a dilapidated state to the highest building standards, painstakingly incorporating traditional techniques to maintain the beauty and grandeur of the property's original state.
During the first year, the work team stayed in the ruins of the old noble house to fully understand the construction and landscape of the property.
Holes in the ceilings, broken doors and windows, the project gradually began to take on a life of its own.
Facing countless obstacles and seemingly insurmountable challenges. The house completed its first phase and its doors were opened to the public in 2020.
Much more than accommodation, it is a guest house and a sanctuary for the creative and curious. A place to find peace within our magnificent city. In the upper area of the Historic Artistic Center of Santa Cruz de La Palma, the house is located next to one of the main squares of the city, Santo Domingo. For almost 400 years, La Casa de Don Gabriel has shared a history with the city and has witnessed many of the most important events in the historical past of the island of La Palma.
Within our walls, you will discover a calm atmosphere next to the central courtyard. We welcome you to discover your own experience; timeless, unforgettable and completely yours.
